Somo named finalist at Manchester Property Awards 2026

We’ve got another reason to be proud of our Manchester roots.

Somo has been shortlisted for Finance Partner of the Year at the inaugural Manchester Property Awards 2026, recognising the businesses, teams and individuals helping to shape the region’s property landscape.

And for us, this one feels particularly special.

Manchester is our home. It’s where Somo has grown, where many of our team are based and where we’ve built relationships across the property and finance community for more than a decade.

So being recognised within our own market means a lot.

A big year for Somo

The shortlist comes during one of our most exciting periods of growth and innovation yet.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to challenge what specialist property finance can look like — launching new products, developing more flexible ways to lend and finding new ways to help brokers get complex cases moving.

That includes Prime bridging from 0.69% per month, continued growth across our specialist First and Second Charge lending, and the hugely successful Landlord’s Breathing Space.

Behind it all is one very simple belief:

Why make finance difficult?

We look for ways to make good deals work, cut through unnecessary complexity and give brokers direct access to real decision-makers.

Recognition for the whole team

Jade Keval, Chief Operating Officer at Somo, said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be shortlisted for Finance Partner of the Year. Manchester has always been a huge part of who we are, so being recognised within our own property community makes this one particularly special. It’s also been such an exciting period for Somo. We’re constantly looking at how we can evolve our proposition, solve more problems for brokers and borrowers and bring genuinely useful innovation into the specialist finance market. This shortlist is fantastic recognition for the whole team behind that."

The winners will be revealed at the Manchester Property Awards on 6 November 2026 at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford.

Whatever happens on the night, we’re incredibly proud to be flying the flag for Manchester property finance.🏆
